Big Bang Theory
As we become more aware of PTSD and other historical scars in humans; we need to lend an ear to the plight of domesticated and wild animals. Tradition instills a seasonal need for consumerism and threading the air with metal particles and toxic fumes. The poisonous air outlasts the organised arson and the dangerous litter is not always removed by tidy Wombling adults.
Some children and most animals do not cherish the gunshot sounds of human war on nature. The piercing, popping and thundering unpredictability of your neighbour showing off with their bottomless box of explosives can leave animals distressed and at risk of injury.
Is it really worth the mental and physical disturbance to sensitive lives? There are so many people who actually deny the reality of unexpected noises and explosions. Recent social terror has left many unable to fully relax and even organised noise becomes a social tolerance rather than an evening of the light fantastic.
