‘It was Ginger! but how changed! The beautifully arched and glossy neck was now straight, and lank, and fallen in; the clean straight legs and delicate fetlocks were swelled; the joints were grown out of shape with hard work; the face, that was once so full of spirit and life was now full of suffering…’

Black Beauty, Anna Sewell

Look beyond what you love and observe animals removed from their natural world. No amount of reins, whips, chains or cages can remove the ability to love and feel. Circumstance, control and obligation may obscure natural rights but instinct and conscience enlist our empathy.

Please do not support animal cruelty as a fashionable or lucrative form of entertainment. A metal bit in the mouth of a horse controls and reminds but as a human; what pulls us forward to move and speak?
