Bulletproof Vent?
‘The Constitution gives you the right, as a white man, to have a rifle in your home. The Constitution gives you the right to protect yourself. Why is it ‘ominous’ when black people even talk of having rifles? Why don’t we have the right to self-defense? Is it because maybe you know we’re going to have to defend ourselves against you?’
One Day When I Was Lost, James Baldwin
The media presents us each day or week with the news of gun impact. Nothing is ‘cured’ or achieved with violence. Walls, bullets and inciting Kluxers may fester in social corners and pollute the political air but the majority wish for peace and freedom, away from fear. Stand together in love, not apart in hate. We are all here to live, no one is superior. Pulling a trigger will not bring happiness; distorted or pure.
