Despair for Empathy

As spectators filmed and photographed a dolphin being cornered by Japanese hunters; one dolphin refused to be caught and instead committed suicide in full view of every camera and inhumane eye.

All life matters. Orcas, dolphins and all animals used as sport or entertainment merely exist. Their lives are boxed away by the thoughtless greed of humans. Futility and a refusal to carry on can, and does end in suicide for humans and animals. To avoid suffering, some choose death but where is the observant peer, stranger, digital following? Look beyond the brave laughter and see others closing in on themselves. Death is not a solace when life is still ahead. Reach out and rebuild others to avoid the tragedy of a fall. No one should ever feel so alone that they resort to an abrupt end. Open your eyes and really see others and their unspoken needs.
