Horse Code

When humans participate in a race, war or competition; there is always the possibilty of injury and even loss of life. Today, you have a choice as a human as to whether or not to become a soldier or a horse jockey. But the horse is part of the human slavery tradition, they are bought and bred to perform for the wallet of the greedy humans who ‘own’ their lives.

People pay, bet and invest large sums of money into watching horse racing and shows. We learn from the news, that these horses are not always safe and there have been several fatalities over the years. It is not just a sport when a horse is brutally injured by the earnest stampede for money and success. The images the media release are graphic and should stay with us as reminders of the inhumanity of animal cruelty in sport and indeed, the slaughterhouse business.

Thoroughbreds are valued while they race or parade. An estimated 10,000 which is half of the foals born each year, end up as meat. Horse meat is contaminated with hormones, antibiotics and even performance enhancing drugs. Horse slaughter is dangerous for both the animals and those who consume their flesh; humans and pets. The excessive breeding of horses for racing and shows is not paralleled with retirement provision.

Animals are not for entertainment. They are not ours to own or abuse. Please spare a thought for the lives lost because we wish to be amused, stylish or fed. There is a solution or alternative to everything, we need but the intelligence and kindness to look for it.
