Litter Retreat

Look at the view, the edit we’ve made.

Plastic knots tangled in every

Branch and bud. The choking river

Housing the abandoned trolley fun.

Synthetic air vapes out on me.

Tarmac kills another homeless bee.

Glitter creations confetti out of

School, the Teflon clad future

Are chauffeured back.

Did anyone else hear the evicted soil’s cries today?

The woman’s shellac tallons tear open a Haribo deceit,

The plastic sneer hurtles to my feet.

Did you hear the dying dove plead from the tree?

Your modified pet gashed something once free.

Our cloth ears are now plastic buds, the

Soil polluted with a chlorinated flood.
