Marooned life; clipped ticket on your page.
You come laden with children; smudged
Screams of delight. My chlorinated tears
Cast shadows on this cage. The cameras
Swim free as they filter my plight. There’s
One who doesn’t share the tyrannical glee,
An upside smile caught on her face. Eyes
Wrung out avoiding me, the glass ceiling
Echoes, we’re both not meant for this space.
