‘What’s happened in my career has been about knowing myself and realising my flaws are my strengths, and to embrace them; to access what I’m really good at, and what I’m not so good at; and tune out the voices that get inside your head and make you think you can’t do something.’

Erin Brockovich

Is it Acknowledging Your Fears Day again? Why is gender justice still a goal, rather than a reality? Why are equality and respect trending when history has a back-catolgue of female rebellion? We are all responsible for each other and the space we share, whether we realise it or not.

Let’s stop expecting the female to fit a stereotype, shape or purpose. Homemakers, careers and ambition can all work on the same page. Undervaluing the Other is not balance or order. Let’s declutter the hierarchy of human labelling and fix the hole in our expectations. Boxes can and will be broken. Tags can be removed.
