Rebranded Acceptance or Fear?

‘Laws alone can not secure freedom of expression; in order that every man present his views without penalty there must be spirit of tolerance in the entire population.’

Albert Einstein

Tolerance is a forced, enforced or obligatory stance which society, domesticity, sexism and inequality expect from us. Respect does not equate to tolerance. Education may equip you with the social truce but the tension is more powerful than the motion towards staged peace.

Acceptance is not a manual, it is a unanimous decision to coexist. We are stripped of this honour by political indiscretion and social blame culture.

How can anyone be expected to love fear? Should the suffering partner tolerate the Other? Domestic or social violence create a facade of normality and we are all present in this game of absent calm.

Real peace is the identification of yourself in others. Sadly, political discharge has partitioned our regard and sense of compatibility. Raise your head above the parapet and realise there is no threat, just a broken mirror cracked from within.
