‘No short-haired, yellow-bellied, son of tricky dicky
Is gonna mother hubbard soft soap me
With just a pocketful of soap.’

Gimme Some Truth, John Lennon

There’s too clean and there’s also avoiding getting your hands dirty. Not everything we do can be washed off, or away. Some stains outlast the act. The real cleanup doesn’t involve soap and water. Politicians and media may wash their hands of the causes or fights you carry but we all share this world and it only takes a small amount to clean or pollute the rest.
