Some years ago, recycling was not a trend, it was a necessity for green grouches, Wombles and those for whom make do and mend was an unspoken habit. During wartime, the Government encouraged a frugal existence of repair and revive. But have we advanced? Must we visit a vintage boutique to see how trash can be turned to cash and prevent waste?

We may have hundreds of television channels to detract our conscience or time, but try recycling culture and see what you make of old, unused and unseen material. Everything eventually comes a full circle. Yesterday often sits in tomorrow’s trend.

Your world has been brought to you today by the Number 1 and the letters M and E. Revisit the rejected and dejected. Expand and rebrand what you already have. Reduce, reuse and recycle everything.
