Wingmanship

‘The reason birds can fly and we can’t is simply because they have perfect faith, for to have faith is to have wings.’

J.M. Barrie, The Little White Bird

Under the cover of our own, secret darkness; we often wing it towards conformity. Our masks have become our safe place in a world where honesty is failure and admit it; you are desperate to impress, comply, deny and hide. Peel off that layer of routine and indifference. Throw away the parade and take the plunge. Fly outside your lane, line and lie.

Take someone under your wing for a refreshing change of direction. We are all falling into or out of favour with each other and our own diminished sense of purpose. Don’t fight the need for flight. Broken wings take time to heal; extend yours.
