11th May

In 2018, the Ego Awareness Movement was set up as a support group to help those suffering from the mental afflictions of egotism and to prevent others from also falling prey to this hidden mental abuse. Egotism is a learned form of emotional and psychological abuse; it can impact on everything we do. The above list mentions some of the many afflictions of egoic influence. We need to raise social awareness by educating ourselves and others. The issues need highlighting. Let’s inform, educate, deter and prevent this negative tyranny. Start living in the present and experiencing self contentment. Speak out against egotistical behaviour which is one of the main causes of human suffering. History and the world around us today, remind us of all that the human ego can destroy and divide. Social strength is standing up to the elitist bullies who cannot see beyond their own persona. Value your own self esteem and preserve your identity, but never lose sight of others and how you impact on their lives. Always relate to others and egotism will not take hold.
